This time last year things were getting real. We had no power, the sky was orange and black, we were scared and stinky.
The Victorian neighbours were preparing to follow the official advice to leave because of the fires.
Now we are still, if not quite as scared, at least nervous. And the neighbours are again about to follow advice to leave, this time because of the virus.
What a year!

One household of neighbours have all left overnight. The other house has only the owner (single grandma) still there. I think she may have decided to ride it out here.
I hear the traffic on the coast road from here to the border is horrendous

If not.. "Victorians who arrive back from NSW after the deadline will need to go into hotel quarantine."... at their own expense, I think.
A giant traffic jam near the border and hours of waiting.

I just spoke to a friend who’s daughter and family were visiting from Melbourne. They left here at 6pm yesterday and got home at 6:30 this morning. It’s usually an 8 hour drive
