I hate the new look facebook.
How do you elect to see recent posts rather than top posts on the new format, anyone know?
I’m still using the original fb but it’s only a matter of time until I’m forced in to the new version.

I'm useless at facebook but I get around it by following very few people (mostly family) and if anyone gets too prolific I snooze them for 30 days  I have one second cousin that posted fifteen selfies a day so she had to go. |

I’m still using the original fb but it’s only a matter of time until I’m forced in to the new version. if you don't have the option to switch back in the settings use fluff busting purity to switch back - i don't know how long that is going to last though |

Pepe, I can still switch back at the moment, but they reckon Septemeber is the switch off month, so I dont know how much l9nger I have.
joono, I had to unfollow the cooking groups, slowcooker, piemaker etc, and I’ve snoozed a few people too. There’s not much on my feed now, mostly wildlife rescue groups, and the local community groups. Oh, and I follow dashcam for laughs.

If you think Facebook's a PITA you should try Bigpond. I haven't been able to access my emails excep tfor rare, brief moments since August 10th. They tell me it's a technical issue and their technicians are working on it 'round the clock'. They also say it should be fixed by 'early next week', but they've been saying that for over a month now.  |

i was switched to the new fb and had no option to go back to the old - its clear to see who the favourites are  |

On mine, if you click on News Feed (top of the list on the left hand side) it gives you the option of Top Stories or Most Recent.

Penny sounds like you still have original fb.
Ive had the bigpond mail problem too. Finally received an sms from them a couple of days ago, saying there was a problem, hmmmph, like we hadn’t noticed.

The problem with the new version..as far as I can tell anyway..is fb decides which posts you want to see ( in groups) then you have to keep changing it to what you do actually want to see.

keep an eye on your privacy settings too, mine keep defaulting to full public with the new format.

I so rarely look at the desktop version of Facebook I wouldn’t have a clue what is different. I almost always view on my iPad or phone and don’t think it has changed there.

Stuck with the new fb. I really, really hate it. Every time I refresh the page I get a whole new set of feeds. Makes me wonder how many posts Im not seeing.

I tried to do a sales ad (on Marketplace) using the laptop. Where you type in your sales info is in a narrow box on the left hand side.. in the middle there is a big 'preview' box.. couldn't work out how to preview my ad.. see all of it at once in the preview box. Then decided to save the draft.. now can't find where to open said draft. Will have to google how to do that.. then hope that it did actually get saved.
Compared to the old version (which I never had a problem with) this one is 100% useless, imo.
Edit - easy to find draft on ipad. Not found on laptop yet.

on the page settings it says you can switch back to the classic fb for 48 hrs to manage your page so they obviously know there are problems
