I usually have really weak and brittle fingernails. They never look good and break if you even glance at them. Over the past couple of weeks they suddenly seem really healthy and strong.
Maybe it’s all the washing. Maybe it’s not doing much so they aren’t getting knocked etc.

I doubt it's all the washing Kay. Wouldn't that dry them out and make them more brittle?
I'm going to start using hand cream again. My knuckles are getting dry and flaky from washing my hands so often.

I stopped biting my nails because of the Don't Touch Your Face suggestions.
My index fingers weren't used to it, so I clipped them. My deformed thumbs don't really grow.......
Fact: I have 6 long and healthy looking nails.
Fact: last time I went shopping in a meandering non urgent way I bought an 8 in one nail filer/buffer/smoother and Burt's nail cream. That is so girlish and not like me at all.
