I saw a funny vid on twitter the other day about names to avoid but can’t find it now. One was Jkmno, pronounced Noel (think about it 😂)

I like Imogen or Miranda. I rather like my name too. It was quite an unusual one in England at the time I was born. During my entire childhood I only ever met one other Deborah, but when I came to Oz I was a bit miffed to find the whole country seemed to be crawling with them (though most were either Debbies or Debras).

We already have an Imogen in our family, in fact I think it was me that suggested it. I've always loved that name.

If I’d had a girl she would have been Amy, I still like it.
Maisie, Phillippa (Pip), Isobel, Zara, Zoe, Mia, Kate or Katie. Some, but not all, of those are in my family. My name has gone right out of favour. There were about 4 of us in my year at school and I know a couple now about my age but no one younger. (and it’s not Kay 😂 even though that seems to have suffered the same fate)

I blame Debbie Reynolds for that Penny There was also an actress called Debra Paget around at about the same time. She was in CecilB de Mille's The Ten Commandments.

I like some of those names.
Our daughters partner suggested........Andromeda,
Nope.......never going to happen.
Having a big complicated family means there are already lots of nice girl names used.
Maggie............we already have name similar to Alice in our family.........so that is out.
Joono and Penny..............I used to like the name Imogen............and Dimity............but I am over that now.
Clarabelle.......... I dont mind the name Meghan either.
Deb........Chloe is out..............(a past girlfriend)
I always used to hate my name...............(biblical)
Until I started doing my family tree.
I always thought I was named after my favouite Aunt.
But it goes back much further than that.
When my great great grandfather came out as a convict he left a pregnant wife back in England.
The baby didnt make it.........she was born early.............and as they were poor she had a paupers burial...........she had been given my christian name.
Ever since them every generation there is a child called that..........and this generation it is me.
The next generation it is our youngest grand daughter...............but as her middle name.

From the list - Poppy
There were a lot of Imogens (and Chelseas) around when my eldest was born (1988).
She fancied being a Tiffany as she got older, instead of the staid name we gave her...which she thought was an old persons name (old = 40year olds to her at that time).
She has worked recently with two other girls the same age as her, with the same first name as her.
