I wonder if anyone can tell me anything about this little tea set. It was given to my mother in NZ in 1934 by someone who worked on their farm. It is a complete, undamaged, 6 place setting including tea/coffee pot, creamer and sugar bowl. There are no markings whatever on the base. Each piece seems to have been individually painted(?) as they are all just a bit different from each other. The pack of cards is to show perspective as to size. It is obviously intended as a child’s toy. Any ideas?

Madara or Deb would be the best ones with this.
It's very cute Kay.

Beautiful. It looks Japanese to me but the windmill throws me.

Japanese lustreware Kay... there's a similar one in Lyn's link
it's pretty... not many children's tea sets would've survived

Thank you. It belongs to my eldest sisters eldest granddaughter now. We were only ever allowed to play with it on special occasions. I love it

the peach lustre and that blue is a dead giveaway . as is the foot of the cups . we have a lot of similar stuff because i like it . somewhere in the back of my head there's a voice saying ''made by Noritake but unmarked '' dont quote me on this however , but i do have Noritake marked and unmarked that is the same (or close ) pattern (windmills ) however i also have seen it marked "superior japan '' and other marks .
