That's going to look impressive Deb. The cherub on the ball (half hidden) looks like my broken angel.

Yes, it's the same Joono, just a different colour, my angel's wings broke when hubby transported it in his boot, he was in big trouble so he somehow fixed it
See that "Pan " statue next to it? That's really old..1920's at the latest
I hope so AC.. not sure how high they will be until the next load arrives

Must be the day for gardening.
We finished putting some more rocks in the garden.........the need topping up from time to time.
We also planted two new rose bushes..........and a bag of daffodils.
The guy across the road gave them to us..............they were in a net bag with "Onions" written on them............(huh?.........but I didn't ask)
I don't have a lot of time to garden so we have lots of succulents................but I like something that flowers too.
I dont fuss over the roses.................prune them and feed them once a year.............and then they are on their own.
We don't let hubby prune them..........he calls it pruning...............I call it amputation....(hence having to buy two new roses)
I got ones that say they are heavily scented.................both red..........(my favourite colour)
Deb.............your garden will look lovely when you get that finished.

do you have black beauty flashie, ? i love that rose the darkest red . it is one of my favourites.
i also bought the hot chocolate in a standard a few years ago . it never came to much. i am sure there was something wrong with it. the flowers were very tiny.
my other half grafted a black beauty on to it. it did improve slightly. but then it just went down hill after that. so we pulled it out. i have not replaced it as yet.

Deb, mine was the same colour as yours. It's just stained by the bore water sprinklers. My ones wing was broken in the car boot too or trying to get it out of the boot, how about that? It was fixed but whatsit epoxied it up with blue rubber cement Thanks goodness one of the boys knocked the wing off again playing footy.

They are cute, Kay. I've been a bit remiss about watering my Dwarf potted lemon tree..don't go out in the backyard on very chilly days. It has fruit growing on it..still needs good waterings.

They are really cute. I must get some, too. I am hopeless when it comes to watering pots that are undercover.

Not too bad, thanks, Sin. A little bit of tenderness from overuse but nothing that heatpacks won't fix. Only one more day of steroids then its back to pain. Oh well, I've enjoyed the respite and made substantial progress in the garden.

any idea how often you can use them? i know for my friend robin, she can use oral steroids twice a year for a week each time, and get shots at the inbetween 3 month mark, the shots give her about 3 days of relief, but she REALLY hates needles..

Yep, a week, twice a year. I'll probably do it again at xmas. I've had injections with varying success. The last was a guided one done at the hospital for my shoulder. If I could get the pain under control, I'd be fine, well, almost fine. I'll be seeing the dr this afternoon.

okay, cool. rob has been doing this sequence( she has RA and fibromyalgia) for 7 years, she says to tell you that the oral treatment DOES last longer every time. her latest sequence was in may, and she's still doing better than usual, considering the heat& humidity in florida. she's going to send me some other info she thinks you could talk to your doc about, i'll PM you when i get it. you are both amazing women to me, i am THE biggest wussy on earth with pain, generally.

Hmmmm... Not for me Prim I can't imagine they would stay looking neat for long either. Perhaps if they were knitted in a terracotta colour LOL

I guess if you had a quirky garden they would fit in a niche somewhere LOL.

hhmmmmm not sure about those prim.
The landscaper came back this week. He laid the new turf, put in the garden/lawn edging, fixed the side gate and planted out the new garden beds. The front garden is all looking really nice now - and even better, it’s all hardy, low maintenance 😁

Sounds great Kay. Low maintenance sounds even better!!
I am thinking of gifting my DD a back lawn. She has been in her house 12 months now and the back lawn is starting to get very uneven. I imagine the lawn was laid over building rubble :(
It is fairly small because she has had a paved area laid so it should not be too big a project.

I was wondering if your garden has snails and if you've ever tried eating one with a little garlic sauce?

Look what we found crawling up our lounge room window the other day. Yes I know I posted this in DH - but I was sure you would all love to see it here too. Sweet dreams everyone! What is that thing? That looks like a spider trying to eat another insect?
