Hi Pepe! I was just wondering if you had any advice on changing over to Proboards from Tapatalk. I've discovered that Tapatalk is really ripping us off with their gold points system. Does Proboards have a similar system? How do you make the transition seamless?

oh cy you have really caused a stir on a board you don't post on  www.tapatalk.com/groups/thetreadmill/gold-points-t21791.htmlproboards does have ads and you can buy ad free if you choose. so far the only issue we have had regarding 'inappropriate content' was when a non member chucked a wobbly when i wouldn't jump to her demand to remove a post she didn't like and reported us - that issue was quickly taken care of. I have never seen anyone complain that they are losing their ad free payments due to inappropriate content - it may happen but i haven't seen it There is no way to transfer your content as tapatalk won't give you your database and not many places offer transfer any way. The way we did the change over was to set up the new board make tapatalk board read only and started off here. We have an easily accessible link to the old board if anyone needed or wanted to look up old threads to continue a convo. |

Wow....that is so bizarre to see people gossiping like that about a simple post I made. I said I was depressed, which is the truth, because it's depressing to find out people are taking advantage of you and running a scam. For that, I was called gay. I'm not gay, I love girls and hamsters as much as the next guy.......It's depressing also to find that Google can just dictate what content is unacceptable as if they own the internet.....That's a direct 1st amendment violation. This is serious business.

Now, they won't even allow me to post the custom skin you designed for us...Even though I joined the premium membership and now I've got to figure out what's up with that...It's crazy. They couldn't kill a business more if they had set it on fire. |

they 'accidentally' took away the custom skins and to get them back you have to send an email and they audit your skin and you have to make the changes to it they want made - i can help you do that if you want I hope me helping you doesn't upset the weirdo that stalks me too much he is even having incest fantasies about us.  |

I wonder though, if my board wouldn't start to run into the same problems in that it tends to be more controversial though.
I always wanted to keep it as the kind of place where someone like yourself, or anyone else here would be comfortable posting....but, that's a work in progress I guess.
It's really disturbing to me that Google acts like king of the internet now, and that they are the sole arbitrator of what is acceptable speech or not......I can't tell you how offensive I find this intrusion to be. I mean, this is something I'd go to war over....It's that serious an offense. My speech is none of Google's business. It's especially supposed to be protected by the US constitution, 1st amendment, highest law in the land. Yet Google gets away with it somehow....Somebody needs to stop them...

Cy.. as you know Pepe is the one who knows all about these things.. when we changed boards from TT to here , Pepe was able to leave our old board archived but locked. I read the link of your posts that YW posted on DH and I can see the problems you're having
we were once reported to proboards by a TT poster over a post she found offensive... but proboards dealt with that quite well and with no repercussions
