From when I last posted until yesterday that's how long it took to undercoat and then paint the black stripe on the weatherboards.

The glass for the joinery is supposedly being installed on Monday but they have been telling me that for a month.
It's been holding up all our inside work, apart from the plumbing.

We are so close to being finished I can almost touch it. The splashback is due to go on on Wednesday. They are beautiful tiles but the pattern will require some very skilful tiling work. I’m quite nervous about that going awry. The flooring is to be laid the following week, then it’s just the painting, not sure when that is happening.
I mentioned to himself that I’d like to replace the daggy old skylight with one of those ones that go up into the ceiling space and look like a window in the roof. He went quite pale 😂 Too soon I think 🤔

 the tile shop hasn’t got the grout colour we need so they have to order it in and it won’t be here in time to get the tiling finished on Wednesday  The painter thinks he can come next week, so with a bit of luck it might all be finished when I get back in a fortnight.
