I miss my strawberries - none on the shelves here now.
Woolworths has taken sewing needles off the shelves as well.

I just googled for a concise answer to you Joono and I think everyone who drinks (and maybe travels) should have a browse.

i just bought 3 punnets of strawberries - there is an employee standing by the usual spot to ask for them to be fetched from out the back as they aren't stocking them on the shelves
i hope the copy cats and original perps get the book thrown at them

I read that too, deb. He certainly had a lot of $$ to spend on buying up more land to grow more strawberries around the established strawberry farm he bought in QLD (Donnybrook?.. one of the suppliers that was withdrawn early on).
We're getting a few strawberries back on the shelves. They're still overripe though.. must be supermarkets fault.. hardly ever see any that look fresh.

She was employed by one of the farms and had a grievance with the owner
and threatened payback - I wonder how they got DNA from inside a strawberry?

Why would they even have her DNA to compare though? Maybe the employer had their suspicions and notified the police.
I'm sure there was still a lot of copycats.

I think so, because right from the beginning the news stories said it may be a disgruntled employee. The police interviewed her first a couple of *weeks ago.. maybe they took a DNA sample then. Ms Trinh went to a prearranged meeting with police to provide a DNA sample two weeks ago, prior to her arrest, Mr Cridland said. A match for her DNA was allegedly found on a needle in a strawberry found in Victoria.www.brisbanetimes.com.au/national/queensland/dna-evidence-to-be-used-as-strawberry-farm-worker-fronts-court-20181112-p50ffq.htmlI edited this post.. changed *months to weeks

this even made the news on my local newsfeed! It was a pretty evil thing to do really...especially the risk to young toddlers/children biting into a whole strawberry. Also the (financial) damage to the whole strawberry industry.
