It appears that's what it's about Penny.. but then you find out thst the child died accidently and the parents are trying to cover it up by faking an abduction.. it's really quite well done
I'm having trouble keeping up with series 3 of True Detective. Much as I loved the first 2 series, this latest one has too much going back and forth in time and it's just hard to keep track of what's going on

we watched a movie called "Alone in Berlin" last night... it was pretty depressing really.. based on a true story it was about a couple who's only son died fighting for the Hitler regime... his parents wrote anti Hitler messages on postcards which they placed all around.. the movie ended with them being executed

Did anyone watch the first of the new "Miss Fisher" series on Thursday? Very far-fetched but quite entertaining. We recorded it and watched it last night so we could scroll through the ads.

Barri, i saw on dr phil..... tracey somebody, who was ashley? on one of the soaps, her mother is a hoarder of the worst kind, tracey grew up in the mess, although not quite as bad as it is now, and said that she went to school wearing clothes which always smelled awful and was shunned......her mother had a very sad story of her own childhood, seemingly the root cause of the original problem

tracey bregman? she is lauren, eileen davidson was ashley. yes, she had a pretty bad life as a youngster from what i've read, and her mom too. i think it was really brave of her to share her story, and reach out to others in the same boat she was.
edit to add that they are/were on the young and the restless.

By 'far-fetched' I mean some of the plot lines rather stretch the bounds of credibility.. However, although it's a crime series it's not one that's meant to be taken seriously.

The little boy that is playing Thomas and Caroline's son seems like not bad an actor for his age. I haven't seen today's show yet but he was pretty good yesterday.
