A friend and I went for our first bowls lesson this morning and I discovered my thumb is too short to grip the bowl comfortably. I had to use the smallest size bowls the coach had and they still felt too big! It was fun though and we’re going back again next week. I plan to make the Commonwealth Games team for 2020  |

It's kind of funny cuz my friend and I were comparing the ups and downs of my thumbs tonight.
Sure, they are bad for hitchhiking, but they are capable of so much more than ordinary thumbs.

My right thum is sore this morning from being streeeeeetched yesterday. Also my gluts and quads are feeling it. I was very slow getting downstairs.
How do old people manage this sport?!

I also thought we were talking about American bowling. I haven't gone for a long time but last time I went I had to find a big holed ball that was light enough for me to lift (which was not easy to find). Then I had to stretch my other fingers out to reach the other two holes .
